Description

The current digitization process active in almost all European countries is being developed in an accelerated rhythm which makes some specific groups excluded from the digitization transformation. Most vulnerable groups, such as migrants and refugees, have to face the reality that prevents them from accessing their rights and obligations just because they are not able to manage electronic or virtual tools by themselves. Our project focuses on these gaps and its outcomes will set the solution for this missing bridge between already existing virtual tools and our beneficiaries. We aim at producing innovative and realistic outputs that will improve social workers' efforts as well as ease the inclusion process of migrants and refugees living in Eu host countries. The project aims at bridging our migrant and refugee groups to online tools and digital resources that became more and more needed to fulfill basic daily life duties. On the other hand, we aim to equip our partner organizations’ staff (trainers, educators, psychologists, social workers) with different intervention tools, to address migrants and refugee groups in daily life duties, enhancing their civic participation and active citizenship in hosting European societies. We will do so by developing a Methodological framework for identifying the digital divide and its application for the target group, a Toolkits of knowledge transfer to address the common digital needs for each partner and an OER: Resource base to overcome the digital gap in migrant population: an innovative, inclusive and adapted tool which will be very accessible to our target group that would bridge the digital gap they have to face with the existing virtual tools from the private and public sector.
