The Risonic team, consisting of students Mia, Sara, Matea and Velinčo from the "Gosho Vikentiev" Secondary School - Kočani, will represent the Republic of North Macedonia at the international SMART CITY HACK hackathon, which will be held on October 16 and 17, 2025 in Nova Gorica, Slovenia.

This innovative event brings together young innovators, programmers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries from various European countries, who will collaborate on one of today’s most forward-thinking topics: the transformation of urban energy systems. The goal of the hackathon is to develop innovative and practical solutions for achieving zero-emission buildings, as well as creating smarter, more sustainable, and environmentally friendly cities.

Team Risonic representatives Mia and Velincho will present their solution, which offers an innovative approach to energy efficiency and sustainable development. Participation in this hackathon is a significant step for the young innovators from Kocani and serves as a strong example of motivation in education and the promotion of an entrepreneurial spirit in secondary schools across the country.

The hackathon is organized as part of wider initiatives for smart cities and energy transition, with support from several European institutions and organizations.
