This state-of-the-art hydrological station was installed on the Kriva Reka River, near the city center, in August 2025 by the Center for Knowledge Management (CKM) as part of the URBANFLOODS project.
The station enables continuous radar measurement of hydrological parameters. The measurement data can be regularly monitored by representatives of the Municipality and the Hydrometeorological Service, allowing for timely alerts and warnings in the event of significant deviations from normal water level, flow velocity, and discharge.
The URBANFLOODS project ("Promoting Urban Resilience Through an Integrated Advanced Decision Support System for Flood Control") is an international initiative co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA ADRION programme.
