In North Macedonia, where the terrain is characterized by frequent transitions between mountains, basins, and valleys, flash floods in urban areas present a serious threat, especially considering the current climate change and its effects. Climate change, as a global phenomenon, is characterized by an increase in average temperatures worldwide. Global warming, in turn, affects weather conditions, especially the frequency of extreme weather events (heat waves, extreme precipitation, storms)

Today, the 5 th of April, marks World Environment Day—the largest global platform for environmental public outreach—a time for reflection and action on some of the most pressing challenges facing our planet.

On May 27, 2025, as part of the MKSafeNet project, the Center for Knowledge Management (ЦЗУ) organized a visit to SUGS "Georgi Dimitrov" in Skopje.

On May 16 (Friday) 2025, the Knowledge Management Center (KMCC), in collaboration with the Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering (FINKI), conducted an educational visit to three schools in the Municipality of Shuto Orizari.  

Within the framework of the second transnational meeting of the URBANFLOODS project, which took place in Rijeka, Croatia, the Center for Knowledge Management (CKM), together with the Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering (FINKI), presented the findings from Kriva Reka as a pilot area selected for the implementation of project activities in the Republic of North Macedonia.

On April 2, 2025, the Center for Knowledge management successfully conducted a visit to the Blaze Koneski Primary School in the Aerodrom Municipality, Skopje, where students and teachers had the opportunity to learn about the basic principles of safe internet use.

The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI) and the Center for Knowledge Management (CKM) conducted a comprehensive analysis of national policies and measures for flood prevention in North Macedonia. This article presents the key findings from the analysis, which examines current practices, challenges, and recommendations for improving flood management at the national level. 

The Center for Knowledge Management (CKM), in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI), successfully organized the first stakeholder meeting within the framework of the UrbanFloods IPA-Adrion Project.

Online training for fact-checking for health and nutrition and developing habits for achieving well-being - NutriwellB (Fact-checking for nutrition and wellness for higher education)The training is conducted within the framework of the Erasmus + project "NutriwellB (Fact-checking nutrition and wellness for higher education)", which aim is to encourage digital transformation of the involved higher education institutions and related institutions to effectively manage the transition to critical digital thinking and checking of facts, health and nutrition and well-being habits, to guarantee a healthy lifestyle, promoting healthy habits, within the emotional and psychological harmony that is part of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) agenda.

Festively and in a great atmosphere on August 27 and 28, in Leskovac, Serbia, within the framework of the "OPPORTUNITY4YOU" project, the first cross-border Job Fair called "OPPORTUNITY4YOU DAYS" was held as the finale and "crown" of the project itself.

The Macedonian High School Team won 3rd place at the POPRI EUSAIR Youth 2024 competition. The event took place on May 15-16, 2024, in Šibenik, Croatia.
